Your day begins with 24 mile Royal Gorge railroad exploration aboard a historic train offering breathtaking views of the chasm. Lunch is available for purchase from Echo's 8 Mile Bar & Grill, after which you'll embark on a half day whitewater raft trip on either Bighorn Sheep Canyon, the Royal Gorge or a our Family Float section.

We offer several options for you to enjoy your scenic Royal Gorge train ride. Choose the Raft-n-Rail® Coach Class train; our guest favorite which includes seating in one of the beautifully restored passenger train cars as well as access to the open deck observation train car with 360 degree views of the Royal Gorge as you ride the rails.

Treat yourself to one of our afternoon train departures on the Raft-n-Rail® Vista Dome seating, offering reserved seating in the exclusive glass-topped Dome train cars for unobstructed views of the Royal Gorge right from your seat!

Raft-n-Rail® Bighorn Sheep Canyon - Coach Class

Our most popular package trip, this Raft-n-Rail® package includes your 24 mile historic train ride aboard the Royal Gorge Route followed by a half day raft trip down Bighorn Sheep Canyon. Bighorn is a section of the Arkansas River we routinely raft children as young as around 6 years of age who weigh 50 pounds or more. Coach Class seating on the train includes assigned seating in the climate controlled passenger cars, as well as access to an open-top observation car to take in all of the views of the Royal Gorge. Raft-n-Rail® Royal Gorge - Coach Class

This Raft-n-Rail® package includes your 24 mile historic train ride aboard the Royal Gorge Route followed by a half day Royal Gorge rafting trip down the famous chasm. The Royal Gorge half day trip offers a number of class III and IV rapids and takes you under the Royal Gorge Bridge suspended 1053 feet above the Arkansas River! Coach Class seating on the train includes assigned seating in the climate controlled passenger cars, as well as access to an open-top observation car to take in all of the views of the Royal Gorge. Our newest addition to our Raft-n-Rail® line of offerings, this package includes your 24 mile historic train ride aboard the Royal Gorge Route followed by a 6 mile raft trip down the Family Float section of the Arkansas River. You and your guide will navigate class I and II whitewater through the foothills below the Royal Gorge, past Cottonwood trees and rocky bluffs. We see more wildlife on this trip than any other; Eagles, Falcons, Herons, songbirds and even black bears on occasion. Coach Class seating on the train includes assigned seating in the climate controlled passenger cars, as well as access to an open-top observation car to take in all of the views of the Royal Gorge.
