Half day whitewater raft trips are perfect for beginners who want to experience the excitement of white water rafting but only have limited vacation time available. These trips vary in length but are usually six to ten miles in length and between two and three hours long including shuttle times.
Bighorn Sheep Canyon Half Day

Our most popular family trip, Bighorn Sheep Canyon includes six to eight class III rapids and beautiful mountain scenery. We often see Bighorn Sheep along the cliffs in the canyon on this Colorado water rafting run which usually includes just under two hours of on-river time. Family Float Half Day

Our newest trip for young rafters! Our exclusive Family Float trip runs the Arkansas River near Florence, Colorado, and offers 6 miles of gentle class I and II rapids. You might see a stray splash on this trip designed for children who love adventure but aren't quite old enough for Bighorn Sheep Canyon. Average time on the river is about one and a half hours, although with shuttle times allow two and a half hours. Family Float rafting trips check in at our Echo Canyon office near Cañon City and Colorado Springs.

Browns Canyon Half Day

Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River is one of the most popular family river rafting sections in the country due to the classic high mountain scenery and exciting family-friendly rapids. Average time on the river is about two hours on this wilderness oriented trip. Browns Canyon rafting trips check in at our Four Corners/Buffalo Joe's office in Buena Vista.

Just 45 minutes west of Denver, our Clear Creek Beginner trip offers eleven fast-paced class II and III rapids. We occasionally spot Bighorn Sheep navigating the steep rock-wall canyon.
