Family Rafting Package Trips
Echo Canyon River Expeditions offers a number of rafting trips that include a tour of the gorgeous Royal Gorge. Choose from several Raft-n-Rail® packages that include beginner class whitewater appropriate for young children yet still offering the splashes of the Arkansas River sure to cool off your family on your Colorado vacation. All of our Raft and Rail trips are convenient packages which include a 2 hour, 24 mile historic train ride through the Royal Gorge aboard the Royal Gorge Route, a Delicious and freshly prepared lunch back at our Echo Canyon rafting office, followed by a half day Arkansas River raft trip on either Bighorn Sheep Canyon or our exclusive Family Float section on the Arkansas River. Raft-n-Rail® Bighorn Sheep Canyon - Coach Class
Our most popular package trip, this Raft-n-Rail® package includes your 24 mile historic train ride aboard the Royal Gorge Route, a freshly prepared boxed lunch at our 8 Mile Bar & Grill, followed by a half day raft trip down Bighorn Sheep Canyon. Bighorn is a section of the Arkansas River we routinely raft children as young as around 6 years of age who weigh 50 pounds or more. Coach Class seating on the train includes assigned seating in the climate controlled passenger cars, as well as access to an open-top observation car to take in all of the views of the Royal Gorge. Raft-n-Rail® Bighorn Sheep Canyon - Vista Dome Class
Upgrade your Bighorn Raft-n-Rail® experience to reserved seating in the Vista Dome rail car. Enjoy more unobstructed views of the Royal Gorge right from your seat in these rail cars with curved glass windows built years ago with comfort in mind. Raft-n-Rail® Family Float - Coach Class
Our newest addition to our Raft-n-Rail® line of offerings, this package includes your 24 mile historic train ride aboard the Royal Gorge Route, a freshly prepared boxed lunch at our 8 Mile Bar & Grill, followed by a 6 mile raft trip down the Family Float section of the Arkansas River. You and your guide will navigate class I and II whitewater through the foothills below the Royal Gorge, past Cottonwood trees and rocky bluffs. We see more wildlife on this trip than any other; Eagles, Falcons, Herons, songbirds and even black bears on occasion. Coach Class seating on the train includes assigned seating in the climate controlled passenger cars, as well as access to an open-top observation car to take in all of the views of the Royal Gorge. Paddle, Saddle & Bridge
Join Echo Canyon for a morning Bighorn Sheep Canyon half day trip followed by a scrumptious riverside lunch at our private river landing. Back at our office you'll change into dry clothes for your trail ride, drive your vehicle to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park where you'll head to the stables for a one hour mule ride on the rim of the Royal Gorge.
