Our guests’ favorite for rafting the Royal Gorge! This trip eases you into the big river rapids by starting in the class III Bighorn Sheep Canyon. After a delicious riverside lunch, your crew will head into the depths of the Royal Gorge, rafting under the Royal Gorge Bridge towering 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River. Good physical condition and the ability to swim are strongly recommended, and with changing river conditions the recommended minimum age is 15 to 18 years.

After a morning half day raft trip through the famous Royal Gorge, we'll serve you a freshly prepared riverside lunch before we launch again down the Gorge. The Numbers Full Day Whitewater Rafting
Rafting near Buena Vista and Summit County
The Numbers section is a high alpine class IV and V run that requires aggressive paddling and a lot of whitewater excitement. You'll start this trip navigating the big class IV rapids of the Numbers, and following a delicious riverside lunch you'll raft through a class III section known as the Narrows or Wildhorse Canyon. We recommend you are in good physical condition and have good swimming ability to participate in this trip. Numbers trips check in at our Four Corners/ Buffalo Joe's rafting office in Buena Vista, Colorado.

Clear Creek Intermediate Full Day Whitewater Rafting
Rafting near Denver
The Clear Creek Intermediate full day trip includes eleven class III rapids in the morning followed by a hearty lunch served back at the AVA office. Then it's back on the river for the larger and more demanding class IV rapids. Clear Creek is a cold, narrow creek and is a physically demanding trip. Rafters should be in good physical condition and ready for a workout! Clear Creek rafting trips depart form our Arkansas Valley Adventures office in Idaho Springs, Colorado.
